Back in the Groove!

I am so excited for this next project! I get to refinish a crib, dresser and changing table for very special family. The best thing is I am refinishing this for a precious little angel that will be here soon. The crib and changing table are white and the dresser is yellow. I am going to paint this furniture a coffee color, it is going to be awesome. Thank you Ash and Josh for this opportunity to refinish this for your baby.

Finished Chair

Well Hello again. I have been extremely busy at my full time job. I am starting to refocus my life towards my furniture business again. I hope I am blessed with a lot of business. My beautiful wife finally finished her chair. I say finally because she home schools, works, takes care of the house, feeds us and does all the laundry for 6 people. Yep I married super lady. The chair turned out fantastic, she did a great job for a rookie. I think we will add some black glaze and varnish to it a little later. For now it will work fine. My wife and I make a great team in more ways than one. Good Job Baby!

Plain White

This item is for a customer. He started to refinish it until he noticed the primer started to bleed through the paint. You may not be able to see it in the picture but the white paint turned an ugly urine yellow. If you ask me, he brought it to the right guy. I am happy to refinish this piece. He wants it to be painted a semigloss white. I will have to do a lot of sanding on this project. I cant wait until my boy's are older so they can do all the sanding. LOL I will keep everyone posted on how this turns out. Oh yeah, I picked up two more followers. Thank you for the support Ladies.

Family Project

We took a trip to the Salvation Army last Saturday. We found this beautiful chair for only $2.00. We could not pass it up. My wife has been wanting to refinish a chair for quite some time now. So this is her project. The funny thing is when she took the chair apart our 4 boys jumped in with her. They all started working hard at taking staples out. My family ROCKs! My wife has picked her material out for this chair and has a color for the paint in mind. I am so excited to see how she does on this project. I think furniture refinishing is in our blood. I can so see this being a family business! I will post finished pic when it is done.
My wife finished the seat and sprayed the chair with primer. We are getting closer to the finish line. It is looking good so far. Good job baby.

Thank you.

Huge thank you to my last customer. They really made my day in two different ways. Fist he paid me $100 more than we had agreed on. What a huge blessing for me and my family. The second way he made my day is he had a friend bring a dresser that they wanted refinished. So that is my next project. The cool thing about that is I didn't have to look far for my next job it came to me. Thank you God for the blessings we receive. I will post pics soon.

YARD SALE GOLD

The desk has been put on hold for a minute. I found this table at a yard sale for 5 bucks. Great deal. This matches a hutch I did for a dear friend a while ago. I am very excited to do this little table. I will do it the same color as the hutch. This table already has a home. I will give it to my friend. So if you know who I am talking about don't tell her. I want to surprise her. I will post finished pic soon.
Ok all done. It turned out great! It matches my post My favorite piece. She is going to love it.

Cream and Black Highlight

Hello my 2 followers! I was brought this furniture by a customer who wasn't too sure what she had in mind as to what she wanted to do with it. She sent me an email of a bedroom set that she liked. I had to get as close as possible to the picture. I have to be honest: I am the king of stain and glazes! Just kidding. But that is my cup of Joe. I am not use to painting furniture with latex paints. I can do it. But, it is a bit of a challenge when the color is cream and the glaze is black. I see all of these talented ladies whip this stuff out like it is nothing. I need to learn a few things I guess. It will be ok because I am a fast learner.

This project has taken almost a month. Working in the garage after I get off of my other job makes for a long day! I have to say I got a little frustrated at times working on this job. Lets just say it was a live and learn project for me. In the end I feel it turned out pretty nice. I hope the customer will be happy.
